My career began on the trading floor of the Boston Stock Exchange, where I gained firsthand experience with financial markets, risk, and uncertainty. I later served as a Chief Financial Officer, developing a deeper understanding of cash flow, resource allocation, and the financial decisions involved in running a business.

I spent much of the next 15 years in sales, business development, and account management. That experience taught me something equally important: how to listen, ask the right questions, understand the real problem, and find creative solutions.

Today, as an Investment Adviser Representative with Global View Capital Advisors, I bring those experiences together to help individuals and families understand their options and make informed financial decisions.

Why I Became an Advisor

When I went looking for financial advice, I discovered something interesting: I didn't have enough money to qualify as a client.

Apparently, I needed to accumulate substantial wealth before I could get professional guidance on how to build it.

I understand the economics of the traditional wealth management business. But I also know that important financial decisions don't begin when you reach a particular account balance. They happen throughout your working life, often long before you've built a sizable portfolio.

That's why I became a financial advisor. I wanted to work with people who have financial questions, decisions to make, and futures to plan for—regardless of how much money they've already accumulated.

How I Think

The Right Tool for the Right Job

Money is a tool for building the life you want. And the financial products available to you—investments, insurance, annuities, and everything else—are tools, too.

A hammer is great for driving a nail, but not particularly useful for cutting trim. Financial products work the same way. Each has a purpose, strengths, limitations, and tradeoffs.

My role is to help you understand which tools make sense for your circumstances, why they might be appropriate, and when to use them. Ultimately, you should understand the strategy behind every significant financial decision you make.

Protect Against Fragility

A financial plan needs to account for more than what happens when things go right. Income can disappear, markets can decline, and unexpected expenses can change everything.

Understanding where you're vulnerable—and which risks you can realistically afford to take—is essential to building a financial future that can withstand the unexpected.

The Architect's Perspective

Good financial planning starts with understanding the problem, not choosing a product.

I approach planning much like an architect approaches a project: understand what you're trying to accomplish, examine the existing structure, identify potential weaknesses, and develop a strategy that brings the pieces together.

Just as important, you should understand the reasoning behind the recommendations, the alternatives available, and the tradeoffs involved.
